Son La Hydropower Plant is the largest hydropower plant in Southeast Asia. The plant is commenced on December 2, 2006 in It Ong commune, Muong La district, Son La province with total capacity of 2,400MW including 6 units, and annual average generation of 9,429 billion kWh.
