General information
Lai Chau Hydropower Plant is a national key project, constructed on the highest level of Da river main stream, the upper level of Son La Hydropower Plant. The construction is commenced on January 5th 2011, generated electricity of three units in November 2016, inaugurated in December 2016 which is 1 year earlier than the National Assembly’s target. Lai Chau Hydropower Plant has a total installed capacity of 1,200 MW, the average annual generation is 4,670.8 million kWh.

- Earthwork: Excavation and transportation for right bank fixed dam foundation;
- Earthwork: Excavation and transportation for foundation of flood discharge works and eroded hole;
- Earthwork: Excavation and transportation for powerhouse foundation;
- Earthwork: Excavation and transportation for left bank fixed dam foundation and left bank power waterway (from sectional plane DIII-:-DIII+340, from elevation 265 downward);
- RCC works.
- Construction of diversion works:
- Earthwork: Excavation, back filling and transportation for diversion works foundation, from sectional plane DIII-:-DIII-380;
- Back filling and take down upstream cofferdam stage 1; upstream cofferdam stage 2 and half of quantity of downstream cofferdam stage 2; cofferdam stage 3 and stage 4.
- Construction of auxiliary works:
- Ground grading for auxiliary works: left bank workshop and parking area; water and electricity supply and specialized hydraulic works;
- Auxiliary works: left bank workshop and parking area; water and electricity supply and specialized hydraulic works;
- Site office and camp for Party B; site office for Board of Management of main contractor.
- Transportation system: NP2 road; NP8 road; NT11 road; part of NT8 road;
- Part of technical and domestic water supply system: ground grading for technical water tank.
- No.1B quarry:
- Excavation and transportation of overburden stripping of No.1B quarry, total quantity of 1.9 million m3;
- Rock transport from No.1B quarry to crushing plants;
- Drain ditch, install and reinforce rock gabion in construction area.
