Nam Mu Hydropower Plant was invested and constructed by Song Da 9 Joint Stock Company under the BOO form (Build, Own and Operate). The construction was begun in July 05^th 2002 and finished in March 25^th 2004.

Nam Mu Hydropower Plant is the 3rd level construction with design capacity of 12MW, annual electricity production of 55.7 million KWh, and total investment of 224.41 trillion VND. It was located at Tan Thanh village, Bac Quang district, Ha Giang province

Main Works including

• RCC Rolling weir, with total length of left and right bank is 53.8m, maximum height of 22m, total width of 8.5m.
• RCC Spillway, with flood flush flow P1%=1090m3/s, total width of 40m.
• Power tunnel with total length of 1,067m, armored concrete structure, 1.8m diameter.
• Pressure tunnel by 12-26mm thickness steel, total length of 1,220m, 1.2m inner diameter.
• Powerhouse with armored concrete framework and dimension of 10.4x27m. It has 03 Pelton turbine units and 02 sprinklers
