SONG DA 9 JOIN STOCK COMPANY

On April 29th 2018, Song Da 9 Joint Stock Company has completed the construction of the main RCC dam of Nam Ngiep 1 Hydropower Plant.
Nam Ngiep 1 Hydropower Plant is located on Nam Ngiep river, which flowing from the North to the South and joining the Mekong river at Pakxan, Bolikhamxay province – Central of Laos. Its main dam located at 55km to the north of the confluence of Nam Ngiep river and Mekong river. The total capacity of the plant is 272.8MW, and is planned to export electricity to Thailand through the Ban Nabong Transformer and provide electricity for Laos through Pakxan Transformer. 
Song Da 9 Joint Stock Company – Member of the Joint Venture is selected to be the contractor for the RCC gravity dam with the total quantity of RCC executed is 2,316,000 m3, dam height Hmax=162m. The first concrete block was placed on April 19th 2016, and the final block was placed on April 29th 2018.

Song Da 9 has been well known as a professional RCC contractor of large dam through our remarkable hydropower projects such as: Son La, Lai Chau, Xekaman 1 with the acknowledgment on progress and quality from ICOLD. 
During the construction progress at Nam Ngiep 1, Song Da 9 has overcome the difficulties of weather conditions at site – long-lasting rainy season. With our experiences, hard working at research and development process, Song Da 9 has successfully apply and control the method of placing RCC for slope even during rainy season.
